Feats are like milestones in history and some of them will not be forgotten like in Purple-Sand clay teapot history. Such is the achievement of Ren Fu Collection which is to be able to foresee the pending disaster awaiting old Purple-Sand clay teapot, an old art form that cannot be scientifically authenticated, and therefore given its potential for being open to great abuse like fraud and forgery, Ren Fu Collection took it upon itself to record as many as possible the thousands of archaeological material and information necessary for study and research, from excavated historical burial sites that were destined for demolition to make way for housing and commercial developments in the early 1970s right up to the late 1990s in South-East Asian countries along the maritime Silk Route.
This feat is the ability to salvage thousands of teapots and to use them as benchmarks for research and study. This book, the first-ever attempted by Tony Ren, the manager of the Ren Fu Collection, is the result of eight years of experience in excavated Purple-Sand clay teapot.
Before that, he was in charge of Ren Fu Collection archaic Chinese Bronzes in Beijing, China. Writing this book himself is a testament to his passion and determination to save old purple-Sand clay teapot.
